I know everything is stored in the DME, so how can we change the mapping and not send up any red flags? If an engine goes because of this and the dealer does it's homework with the computer, how can they NOT find out I had it XEDED?
Anything???

Sorry Joey,

The whole point of the piggyback unit is to "trick" the factory ECU into thinking the car is still stock. The factory computer still thinks the car is running stock. The install is completely reversible.

The unit itself stores in the box where the factory ECU is. We have had a ton of guys go into the dealership for the normal oil change, etc.

Hmm... I'll give the cars a year or so. If everything is good I'll pick one up! Fingers crossed. Thanks man.

Sounds awesome, if I get a 335 this will be on the short list of mods. I wonder if BMW will ever become as anal as Audi was with the B5 and chipping. Although, the B5 had terrible turbos, and with the 335 being far more reliable I imagine, this shouldn't hopefully ever be an issue.

Glad to hear the install is reversible for those dealer warranty visits!
