How to remove E92 Trunk Lid - DIY

For more info to go: DukeDynamics website.

Removing the trunk lid is quite straight forward; just simply remove the screws and bolts and un-plugs all the wires inside the trunk panel.

Step1: Remove all 10 "Expanding Rivet"

Step2: Remove the hidden "Expanding Rivet" inside the trunk handle.

Step3: Twist the "STOP BUFFER" counter clock wise [left]

Step4: Un-hook the "Handle F Emergency unlocking" plastic by pressing gently to the tap.

Step5: Remove the trunk lid trim panel and pull it on a side.

Step6: This is what you see after you removed the "Trim Lid Trim Panel"

Step7: Remove the bolt from the "REAR LIGHT in Trunk Lid" Left Side.

Step8: Do the same thing for the Right side
Remove the bolt from the "REAR LIGHT in Trunk Lid" Right Side.

Step9: Un-screw the "Torx-Bolt" to remove the trunk lid lock.

Step10: Remove the bolts; you might need a second person to help you to hold the trunk.

I will post more steps later on.
