Mini Clubman Announced

Official 2008 Mini Clubman CGI Video

Mini has unveiled a video teaser of the 2008 Clubman model on its website MINI.com. The car was first introduced as a "Traveller" concept car in Frankfurt in 2005. According to Inside Line, the five-door Mini has a 3.1-inch longer wheelbase than its three-door sister. The most interesting design feature of the Clubman is that the car has two side-opening doors in the rear and a short additional door on the right-hand (co-driver) side to make access to the rear seats easier.

Expect to see the same selection of petrol- and diesel engines as in the current Mini hatchback, with the 1.6-litre turbocharged 175 bhp "Clubman S" topping the range, when the Clubman goes on sale in 2008. Stay tuned for our in depth article on the Clubman when official specifications are released, in the meantime check out the video teaser!
