Any experiences with Windscreens vs. windblockers?

I am looking to get a windscreen or windblocker for when my wife comes along. She doesn't like to have the top down because it blows her hair into her face.
I have seen the factory one, but cannot say that I find it that attractive. There are also the hard acrylic and lexan ones.
Does anybody have experience with either or both? Please let me know what seems to work the best for wind reduction first, noise reduction second. Also, what the aftermarket prices typically are, and maybe some other options that I haven't considered.
Thanks,
Brian

hi,

I've owned a 98 M roadster and I used both the bmw windscreen and an aftermarket plexiglass one. The plexiglass one was better but didn't look as good on the car. Also it wasn't better by a huge margin.

hope this helps
