Spent some time behind the wheel of an 07 4.8......

I must say I am dissapointed.......

I found driving the 2006 4.4 to be more responsive and more fun to drive....

Hopefully the ///M Sport version will feel better but I am not sold on an upgrade at all.

I test drove the day it got to my dealer in mid-Nov 2006 and I still like the E53 4.8is much better. Its better in handling as compared to 4.4 but cannot compare to 4.8is.

Yes but I have the 4.6 / 4.8 20"wheel/tire set up so I felt mine handled better as well. I see no reason to upgrade, rather save the money for the new ///m3

I've driven the new one as well at my dealership... not impressed either.

I love the 4.4 with an open exhaust!

I`m too. But on your E53 diesel isn`t a open exhaust which you can see so.
